For anonymous checkout of the CVS repository,

export CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous@omega.cse.unsw.edu.au:/home/cvs/root
cvs login (password=anonymous)

In the CVS repository, there are three directories.

cvs checkout source.omega
will get the source of all of the Omega-related systems.

cvs checkout source.texlive
will get a snapshot of the source of TeX Live's development tree.

cvs checkout source.admin
will get the scripts for building releases, combining source.omega and source.texlive, and so on.

The three directories are tagged with the same tags, thereby allowing the recreation of a particular release of Omega, with all of the supporting programs and files in the TeX Live distribution.
